About Me
Hand building very quickly became my technique of choice when I began exploring ceramics over a decade ago. Initially studying at the Evrham Centre under Chris Bull and Maggie Jablonska, I was really excited to move to Suffolk a few years ago. My new home had the remains of an old windmill in the grounds, and this is now the home of my studio.
Hand building, for me, is a very slow and contemplative process which suits my nature. Having been a teacher of meditation for over 35 years sitting quietly offers no challenge to me.
I primarily work in stoneware clay and various techniques including slip, sgraffito, oxides, and glazes. I’m always experimenting with form and design and finding inspiration in the natural world keeps my work fresh and ever evolving.
